Where was I?

Where was I when Prima released their indeed collection in 2009? It is a gorgeous collection but I've only recently found it. I must of been asleep. I recently purchased a couple of sheets, one with a wrought iron gate. I love the colourings if this paper. At our January crop I completed this page.

Ive used Stampin up glitter to accent the design, I love this glitter its so fine and good to work with. Another product I've used on this layout is Tattered Angels Glimmer Glam. I have to say i'm liking it more than the sprays, its more
Intense and although its not a spray you can be more precise where you put it. Ive added it to the top of the prima flower for a bit of sparkle.

Saturdays shopping spree produced some vintage music paper, a cute postcard from 1943, some  mini playing cards and two Victorian photos.

Gorgeous Glitz

Glitz is one of my top three manufacturers and there new CHA sneek peeks don't disappoint. All three are lovely. I'm in love with the new Pretty in Pink collection, It's a fab blend of pretty pink and vintage chic. I so need this when it ships. Ive always loved Glitz's Whatnots so I'll need those. The 6x6 pad is also a great addition for card making or if I cant bear cutting into 12x12.
I'm enjoying taking part in challenges they have given me some direction, This month I decided to take part in the Glitz January Blog challenge
Ive taken inspiration from the photo in using the blingy wreath on top of the cup as it reminds me of the foliage trailing off the mantle.
I decided to alter a Tea cup and saucer. I've called it Tiny in a Teacup.

Ive painted the tea cup using Paperartsy fresco paint. Its really good on all surfaces.
I have vintaged the edges using some of Timmy's vintage photo distress ink. I've used Glitz Vintage blue papers to make spiral roses and glittered butterfly's, Glitz frosted gems around the base of the cup. A glitz glitzer sticker behind the Timmy ornate frame. Also I've used glitz tiny alphas as a title. The pattern on the saucer is also a Glitz damask rub on. I've used some Glitz netting from the Beautiful dreamer Trim pack on the tiny photo frame. I also altered this using the Paperartsy Fresco paints

Button hoard

Thank you for the lovely comments. I don't have much spare time but when I go to my local town called Bridgnorth there is a shop there selling new and old vintage household furniture and items. The lady there does house clearances and saves all the buttons in huge sweet jars for me to rummage through. Mya gave me 10 minutes to rummage and boy did I get my button fix.

I love all of the buckles and metal findings that are included, they will work so well on altered art projects or ATC's.

If they are a little too tatty I find that Paperartsy Fresco finish paints work brilliantly on metal, well everything actually. They have a matt chalk finish which makes they excellent for inking or stamping on afterwards.

Guess who's back and ready to play My Mojo Monthly

I know to say its been a while is an understatement! I'm going to try and give blogging another whirl. If I can remember how to use it that is. Its been a busy 18 months or so, we are now parents to a beautiful baby girl called Mya Rose. Shes just over 6 months now so I'm just starting to find the time to get creative again.

She doesn't give me much free time in my room so when I found this ATC challenge I thought it sounded ideal. Whilst blog hoping some time ago I found an amazing blog called LA-DE-DAH  after some time I realised shes only lives half an hour away from me, how strange when a blog hop all the way from America lands you almost home!  I was really inspired by this months My Mojo Monthly  challenge I thought I would give an ATC a go.

ATC's seem a really good way of using up left over stash, producing something relatively quickly and not having to worry about photos.
I'm really happy with it, it felt good to get something finished that didn't take hours of planning like my scrapbook pages.
I have bought a 7 Gypsies ATC drawer, it may look a bit lonely in there for a while but I'm sure i'll be adding to my collection.
For this ATC I have used some Pink Paisley Butterfly garden paper, I've added SU glitter to her wings, a ribbon Buckle, a vintage button and lace, a Melissa Frances tiny resin frame and a Prima art tile.
I used my new Ingvild Bolme paper distresser and its my new favourite tool.
The small vintage text is on fabric which was very kindly made for me by a lovely lady called Viv, she makes the most beautiful handmade items using vintage finds.
I really enjoyed making an ATC, why not join in on Sarah's blog.
